Building a Generation of Responsible Road Users
Satwik Sathi Memorial Foundation conducted a Road Safety Awareness & Responsible Mobility Workshop at Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad, on 1 October 2026, engaging 430 students in an interactive programme focused on road safety, responsible mobility and the importance of making safer choices on the road.
The session featured Mr. Raghavendra Kumar, the Helmet Man of India, whose road-safety advocacy inspired students to reflect on the importance of helmets and responsible road behaviour.
The workshop addressed key road-safety concerns, including helmet and seat-belt use, overspeeding, wrong-side driving, underage driving, peer pressure and emergency response. Students were encouraged to look beyond simply knowing traffic rules and understand how everyday decisions can prevent accidents and save lives.
A key message of the programme was that road safety begins with individual responsibility and extends to families and communities. Students were encouraged to practise safe behaviour themselves and influence their parents and peers to do the same.
Turning Awareness into Action
As part of the initiative, Satwik Sathi Memorial Foundation distributed 25 helmets to promote helmet use and reinforce the importance of protective gear among road users.
The programme highlighted the role students can play as road-safety ambassadors—not only by following traffic rules themselves but also by encouraging responsible behaviour within their families and communities.
The Foundation appreciates Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad, for facilitating the programme and providing students an opportunity to engage with this important public-safety issue.
Through such initiatives, Satwik Sathi Memorial Foundation continues to work towards a culture where road safety becomes a shared responsibility and every journey ends in a safe return home.
430 Students. 25 Helmets. One Message: Every Journey Should Reach Home.
