National Vision: Viksit Bharat
Hon’ble Prime Minister
Shri Narendra Modi
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 calls for a developed India that values not only economic growth, but also human life, dignity, and social responsibility.
This vision recognises that true development is measured not only by infrastructure and economic indicators, but by how well a nation protects and empowers its people.
In alignment with this national vision, Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari has consistently emphasised that reducing road accident fatalities is a national priority .
With road crashes claiming a large number of young, productive lives every year, road safety has emerged as a critical pillar of nation-building and social responsibility.
Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways
Shri Nitin Gadkari
Is a Viksit Bharat possible when India loses one life every three minutes in road crashes — most of them young, productive citizens?
For us, this question demands action, responsibility, and collective effort.
India’s Road Safety Reality
1.68 lakh+
Lives officially lost every year in road accidents
(MoRTH – Road Accidents in India)Approaching 1.8 lakh
Annual fatalities, as highlighted in recent public statements
Every ~3 minutes
One life is lost on Indian roads
Why Road Safety Matters for a Viksit Bharat
Human Capital
Road crashes disproportionately affect youth and working-age citizens, weakening families and national productivity.
Social Responsibility
Fear, lack of awareness, and delayed assistance often turn survivable injuries into fatal outcomes.
Nation Building
A developed nation is defined by how well it protects lives on its roads, not only by the infrastructure it builds.
From Vision to Action
